Chromacon is an event designed by artists, for artists AND art lovers alike. We aim to be the flagship annual festival in New Zealand for visual storytellers as an outlet for their creative endeavours.
We envision a convention where artists do not have to compete with celebrities, clashing music, or merchants selling commercial entertainment and products.
Chromacon is ALL about the artists.
We aim to provide an amazing opportunity for artists to network with fellow creatives, promote their art, and engage with the wider community. All visual arts practitioners with a passion for storytelling are welcome to apply and exhibit at Chromacon, regardless of style and subject matter.
NOTE: Due to venue space limitations, there is currently a selection process involved for all applicants. Please see the application guide for more detailed information.
Artists can also choose to exhibit as part of a circle/collective. This may be a very good option for artists who practice part-time and may have a smaller body of work to showcase.
